Congress Ok's the use of Predator Drones over America.How long before they authorize them to use their weapons on US Citizens?

Pretty much the same story from UP also.
Has anyone seen this on Fox,MSNBC or any of the other Flair and balanced networks?

I laugh (in a disgusted manner) when I hear people say that we are "free". HA! What did you expect?

Heck, you get on Google Earth and you can find your house, your car and sometimes there are these 360 degree views of your street with your address and license plates clearly in view to the rest of the world. What ever happened to "privacy" or invasion of privacy? It's all out the window!

Read Sections 331-336, I don’t see anything about it authorizing “the use of 30,000 spy drones over America by the year 2015”.

Just heard a blurb on the radio yesterday about the National Guards F16 unit stationed in Des Moines, Iowa being phased out and replaced with a Drone unit.

I'll be the 1st to admit that I ain't real smart, but if the U.S. has had satilites take can take photos of license plates on Russia's Red Square for years........what makes everyone think a drone plane is going to make any difference??

Well.........again.......like I said, I ain't real smart, but I'd say there's an even cheaper way to delieve a missle with lots more bang, even be less noticeable. Ever watch the war footage from the early 90's with Iraq? I believe they can drop on down your chimney if they have a mind too, lots further away than a drone can. More cameras?? Heck fire, even on google earth, I see myself Peeing off my front porch. Who knows, maybe with these things, I can find out if somebody steals my stuff. And I don't care what anybody watches me do........I'll run licker at night anyways.

If you were referring to me as one of your "Legalists", then what do you mean? The "right to privacy" found in the Constitution has long been held to be limited to those places and/or times when one has a reasonable expectation of such. That's pretty basic and seems you should know that when YOU said the drones would be a Constitutional violation. As to your claim of things "abridged/prevented by law_--never enumerated", you should know not to rely on unwritten laws - they're not worth the paper they're not written on.

I really, seriously, doubt you will be seeing drones in US airspace carrying missles. People hate change, plain and simple. I dont like the fact that there will be unmanned aircraft with super surviellance capabilities flying all over the US. But, its going to happen. If you dont think your privacy is being invaded- seriously invaded on a daily basis by local and federal law enforcement- think again. Once one of these unmanned aricraft slam into another manned (passanger) plain, or drop out of the sky into suburbia, they will get yanked or seriously limited on when and where they can fly.

Are these drones any different than a camera mounted at every other intersection, exit ramp and bridge? The time to be worried about 24/7 surveillance has long since passed. Cellphone game cameras are soon going to be hacked into

I am not for a minute buying into hellfire missiles being deployed against US citizens. If that happens they sure as hellfire won't be worried about how stealthy the delivery vehicle is. It will be game on and will have been for quite some time. You will get yourself shotified and labeled a domestic terrorist. So simple even a politician can do it.

I would not worry too much about it. It is too late to worry. However there are some things to take note of. Any tool, technology, weapon, etc, is completely amoral, and undiscriminating. It cares not who is using it, or what for. Neither in most cases will those in charge of using them. When we, the American taxpayer, authorize the development and deployment of any resource- technological, biological, or human, to be used against anyone else, you must also assume that it is available for use against yourself. That is one thing I have never quite understood regarding all of the Law & Order types that one runs into on the right. When "someone" tries to take over the country, just who did you think they are going to use? They are already in place. You put them there. Furthermore, data mining already has a profile of you right down to how often you use the toilet and what magazine you read while doing it. It is kind of like being in the Matrix- just enjoy that steak- the fact that it may be unreal is relevant, if you cannot tell the difference, there is none.

Only in your mind....Not opposed, both statements are accurate and support each other in sumation of recent events HR658 opens the door..the drone industry.MIC/Intell/Security steps in...FAA estimates up to 30k applications in near future....kinda easy to grasp......That's why many many people are discussing these issue(s), not trying to avoid the issues. Well, trying to avoid if they like a security state normalized or work for it....or stand to make bucks.. .
