Mossberg gone tactical with your deer gun!!
« on: February 09, 2012, 08:06:40 AM »
I just was at the Mossberg website and i saw the new 464 spx which is a 30/30 lever gun(also comes in 22LR) that has a picatinny rails, six position adjustable stock (including adjustable comb height), 3-dot fiber optic sights and flash suppressor. now  your coverd with they other tactical  guns like the Mossberg's MVP(which is very cool), there AR-15 and the tactical .22 (which  this 22LR AR is one of the few AR's i like, i am a AR hater).

Price point and gimmics are what moves Mossbergs.  They know the hardcore types will spend more for a higher quality gun.  They know their market is 17 year olds with 225$ in their checking account and a desire to kill that first goose/turkey/deer/whatever.  If they can add a gimmic or two to make it "look cool" all the better.

Looks like they have put two good things together....kind of like eating ribs a la mode.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

i think it's like 467-580$ for one :o . the rest of Mossberg  stuff is cool and i would buy it but that thing for that much cash, No way.  I not sure but is a  six position adjustable stock  and flash suppressor not legal to have in many states??

I like lever rifles; I hunt with one (336)

'tactical' to me means some stoopid plastic Bubba put on his SKS

I think the 'tactical' mossberg is just stoopid. I won't buy it. It might work fine, but it doesn't appeal to me.
