« on: February 10, 2012, 09:03:41 AM »
Is anyone shooting 429 430 cast bullets in sabots in there 50 caliber in lines and what kind of accuracy are you getting, just getting started in muzzleloading and was hoping my 44 bullets with sabots would work,I'm using black powder.

Nobody shooting the 429 or 430 bullets out of there in-lines,looking for advice with 44 bullets, are they acceptable accuracy wise or not.

ive had pretty good luck with the 429 bullets, jacketed tho, in my rem 700ml and my ruger 77/50.i tried cast 45 cal 451 dia bullets with the appropriate sabots,230 grn i believe. they just were not near as accurate.dont really know why tho.havent tried any 44 cast yet. but i need to, just dont have that mold yet as i dont have any 44 cal guns that i cast for.

I shot 300 grain wadcutters out of a knight rifle.  They worked well.
