FREE SPOTTING SCOPE STORY
« on: January 22, 2004, 03:37:37 AM »
Monday I got the Burris 3-9X40 and free spotting scope from Natchez for $199.95.  On wednesday I sent them back.  I think the rifle scope was a good one, really bright with a lot of eye relief.  The spotting scope is another story.  Two of us couldn't read a license tag at 75 yards.  Really hard to get a sight picture and with the slightest movement you would lose it.  I hope some of you folks get better results.  The Burris scope was not my first choice, but I ordered it because of the free spotting scope.  This spotter looks suspiciously like the "Alpen" # 711 made in China.  I'm not knocking China, they make real good tennis shoes.

Why would you expect any different?
