Updated yesterday at 4:49 PM        LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville mother faces charges Friday night after police say she punched her 10-year-old son in the face during an anger management session.

Misty Lawson, 30, is charged with assault. Police say she punched the boy several times in the face and body. He was taken to the police station by the counselor, who witnessed the incident.

Lawson was arrested in June for allegedly leaving her two sons inside a hot car but charges were dropped a few months later when prosecutors decided not to pursue the case.

 This is a case where she should get a couple years in prison. I hear child abusers tend to get paid back once they go inside.
