I sincerely hope he wasn't hurt (burnt) too bad.
I don't like to see any shooter get "hurt"... not
even a "in-line" shooter! I feel sorry for 'em 'cause they don't have the "understanding" we have of how important "tradition" is to us all.
The beautiful part of using traditional muzzle loaders is the beauty and willingness to NOT use modern technology to make it EASIER to hunt wild game as well as the actual beauty of the rifles and smooth-bores we use.
I.E., we have NOT traded our "values" to increase our chances of killing wild game.In truth... we are more willing to adhere to the old ways... the old "traditions" than to allow the allure of modern convenience to cause us to use modern, improved muzzle-loading rifles with longer range capabilities to take a limited resource called "wild game".
