With any kind of luck for mankind as a whole he won't breed.

But then, anybody who shoots in-lines/pellets shouldn't breed anyway. ::)
Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

Whew! That was a close one, I had my then 12 year old daughter set up to shoot a Traditions in-line last year during youth deer season, but we didn't get a chance to go. I switched her to a 20 guage pump with a red dot this past season and she shot her first doe. There's still hope for grandkids in the future... :D

Do you think that may have gotten him banned from the range? ;D

I sincerely hope he wasn't hurt (burnt) too bad.

I don't like to see any shooter get "hurt"... not even a "in-line" shooter!  I feel sorry for 'em 'cause they don't have the "understanding" we have of how important "tradition" is to us all.

The beautiful part of using traditional muzzle loaders is the beauty and willingness to NOT use modern technology to make it EASIER to hunt wild game as well as the actual beauty of the rifles and smooth-bores we use.

I.E., we have NOT traded our "values" to increase our chances of killing wild game.

In truth... we are more willing to adhere to the old ways... the old "traditions" than to allow the allure of modern convenience to cause us to use modern, improved muzzle-loading rifles with longer range capabilities to take a limited resource called "wild game".   :)

At the range I belong to there is a long table behind the shooting benches. This is exactly why all of my loading is done at the table and not at the bench. All of my powder and possibles stay on the table. The only thing I take to the bench with me is my pan charger so I can prime with the gun pointed down range
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?

Given the nature of the firearm involved, and the propellant too, shouldn't this be on the modern board?

Or is it ok, because it gives a chance to denigrate a shooter of modern style guns?

I vote OK to denigrate! Most inline shooters are hunters, looking to get a legal, but unsportsmanlike advantage during the muzzleloader season. Pellets were designed to make it easy for ignorant new BP shooters to not blow themselves or their guns up, yet here is a guy trying to do exactly that.

That's cool, I guess.

I got "moderated" just for mentioning the horrific "S" word once even through I was shooting them through a traditional muzzleloader ::)

I left it for a heads up because an open BP/Sub container on a shooting bench is an accident in the making and applies to traditional shooters just as well,  it can always be moved to the Modern Forum if it gets off topic.  ;)
