There are a pair of brass/bronze cannons up for auction on Ebay. Anybody know anything about the maker?

The barrels were cast by LaPan's Foundry in Hudson Falls, New York. My catalogs do not list a barrel with the dimensions shown. Maybe they were limited edition pieces. LaPan made very good quality barrels but quit selling to the public several years ago.

Correction: The barrels appear to be LaPan's pattern number 6-A which is listed as a French or English 1-pounder. Sold for $375 back in the 70's.

The tube is a bronze copy of an original cast iron one from Lake George NY now at Ft William Henry The Pattern was made back in the mid 60s not many bronze ones were made mostly cast Iron. The consensus was that it is a British swivel gun hence the position of the trunnion cut out on the carriage being moved to the rear for " better appearance"
