I was raised by my grandmother who was the very image of "Granny" on the Beverly Hillbillies. I swear they must have made that role after my Granny. Had the incident happened to me as a kid, my old Granny would have showed up at school and asked them to explain themselve's and to be sure to speak clearly...into the twin barrels of her 12 ga. !

Powderman, I am just suggesting that you stick to the facts and try to leave all the high drama out of your statements. It would make them more believable, well maybe. ;D

Apparently you did not read the related article that I posted saying that the girl's lunch was never taken from her. Your post saying for the mother to call the police for theft is the drama I was referring too.

Regardless of whether the girl's lunch was taken or not it's still another case of the powers that be thinking they know what's better for us than we do ourselve's. Another instance of you'll do things our way whether you like it or not. That in itself is what bothers me. The mother gave her kid a perfectly acceptable lunch, much more so than many kids get. Then to be told it wasn't adequit, and to have her nose rubbed in it by having to pay for the aditional school lunch, is just plain wrong no matter how you look at it! I can understand the premiss of what they are doing but in this case it was an abuse of their power and hurt their cause more than helped it.
