That's PURDY!!!
I got to get that book. It seems like a standard reference for gun leather. I have always meant to try to find a copy but just never have. Think I'll go on line and see what's available.
I've still got that one belt to finish as well as a rifle sling but time has been at a premium lately. I need to spend some time in the man cave and get that done.
What time I have had I have used to practice leather carving, especially the "Cherokee Rose" I intend to use on my two (3) gun C&B rig of the same name.
Once I settle on the carving/stamping design and feel confident in my carving, I'll give it a go.
Which reminds me, what color dye did you use on that holster?
And I got all kinds of other stuff I want to do. Seems like I got more ideas then time...
One thing I have to do to get that belt done though. I got a belt buckle plate and am going to try making a leather (covered) belt buckle to match the belt!
Anybody ever try that?
It seems to me the leather piece on the back of the buckle would be the only problem area. I got to think about things like gluing the leather to the metal, insuring the correct positioning of the hole/cut for the tongue and bar, you know, stuff like that.
