NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — A 98-year-old Connecticut woman facing eviction by her son says she's upset and wants to stay in the home where she raised her children.
Mary Kantorowski has lived in her yellow Cape Cod-style home in Fairfield since 1953. She said Friday that the home means "everything" to her.
Her oldest son, 71-year-old Peter Kantorowski of Trumbull, told the Connecticut Post he's concerned about her well-being. He says when he last saw her eight months ago, she seemed disoriented and was living in poor conditions.
Peter Kantorowski owns the house. He says his mother has rejected his suggestions to live with him or in a nursing home.
Another son, Jack Kantorowski, tells WTNH-TV that his brother is a "scumbag."
A trial begins March 2 in Bridgeport.

Grounds for Mama to go and beat him severly.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

At 98 she is incapable of making a lot of decisions for herself. I don't know where the son lives, but he recognized her failing and has offered his home. Jack seems to think his brother is a scumbag, but, without more information, it seems to me that Peter is offering help.
We just need more information to see the picture more clearly.

I personally know an old lady in ILL in her 80s who had farmed all her life and raised her garden every year, cut her own grass, cooked and cleaned her own house. Her son in AZ decided she couldn't fend for herself so he got power of atty and shipped her to an AZ nursing home, then sold the farm, she was Moms best friend. POWDERMAN.  :( :(

Got to agree with William! This jack, that thinks his brother is a scumbag, could be the real scumbag :o . Or he could be right! The story is too incomplete to make a decision on who's right in this situation. At 98, most would be unable to take care of themselves.  This guy sounds like a loving son, who want's to see his Mother in a better environment.Could be a little jealousy on Jack's part, because the brother has ownership of the house :o Just saying!
