National Geographic Backroads Explorer
« on: January 23, 2004, 02:19:23 AM »
I just purchased the National Geographic Backroads Explorer software and it is awesome.  It consists of scanned USGS topo maps of the entire United States.  It's easy to learn to use and I had no trouble loading my Garmin e-trex legend waypoints onto the map.  I bought it at Best Buy for $49 and have since ordered my state topos on CD although I have not received them yet. I am having a little trouble figuring out how to come back to a previously viewed area and was wondering if anyone else had used this software and found an easy way to do it.  I think you have to use the "notes" tool.  Any comments would be helpful.  SC hog hunter
