Any Change To The .44mag Twist Rate?
« on: February 19, 2012, 04:59:23 AM »
I thought I read somewhere that the .44 cal Handi's twist rate was improved.   Was it for the .444Marlin only or did the .44mag also get the new twist rate?

I located one at a shop about 50 miles from me, but I'd hate to drive there for nothing if it has the 1:38" twist.  (I really don't want another 1:38" .44mag)

I think it's still 1:38", I just bought a new 44mag Superlight that was likely made last year, it's the SAAMI spec. Only the late model 444 Marlin H&Rs are 1:20" that I'm aware of.
