Looks good! I can use the pics to modify a carriage for a .30 caliber I got from Brooks. Thanks for posting!

Well, If Zulu won't post pictures of his carriage I'll just hijack them from his websight and he can report to the Mods.

Put this carriage with the SAMCC  barrel from Brooks USA and you wil have one heck of a gun!

Why Dom and Ed could probably build you a barrel to fit also...what a deal!

Here is what that carriage looks like finished.  This one was made of walnut and had wider wheels at the request of the customer.
Note the capsquare bolts go through the side cheeks vertically as is proper.  The front ones secure the axle to the body.  Same in the rear.
I only have one of these in stock.

Nice work!!

Don't like the fat wheels, they don't look right, but then I don't like Chevy's either for the same reason.

They were customer's request. :P

This carriage has been sitting on my desk for quite some time.  Double D loaned me his SAMCC barrel so I could fashion a carriage kit.  It's time to get it off my desk.
First $80 gets it shipped to them in the lower 48.
This is an unfinished carriage.  It has a proper taper and all holes are drilled except the capsquare bolt holes and the holes for the axle pin.  Trunnion pocket is 1/2".
Barrel is not included.
Thanks,
Zulu

Very nice. You don't happen to have an extra carriage laying around for a Brooks 24 pounder???????

robbob,
In fact I do. ;D
Do you already have a barrel?  This garrison carriage was made for a Brooks 1" bore 24 pounder.
It is $625 plus shipping..

Oh man!  ;D ;D   Must resist!  I do in fact have a Brooks 24 pounder........but in yesterday's mail I received "Building 18th Century Naval Artillery", and I'm excited to build a replacement for the carriage the barrel currently resides in........but it never hurts to have 2 carriages does it?

I have four 50 Cal. SAMCC 'target barrels and 3 'traditional' SAMCC barrels in stock. Beautiful combination with a ZULU carriage.
