The reality is that the cost of a company providing health insurance comes not out out of the margins of the company, but out of the compensation to workers. Now, under Obamacare, companies can drop health care for the workers and pay the fine, which is less cost to them; all because because the workers will be able to get the government health insurance being subsidized by the people. (Another step on the road to serfdom and national bankruptcy.)

Yeah right, socialism is great. Just ask the Greeks.
The sole purpose of government is to protect your liberty. The Constitution is not to restrict the people, but to restrict government.  Ron Paul

The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first. - Thomas Jefferson

“Everyone wants to live at the expense of the State. They forget that the State lives at the expense of everyone.” — Frederic Bastiat

The simple fact that Obama blesses those who bless him by granting them exemption from Obamacare tells me that it is considered even by those who bless Obama as something they do not want.

BTW, charitable HC which was providing the lion's share of coverage for the poor and under insured, is being killed off by Obama. Imagine that, good citizen's concerned for their neighbors, without being asked or forced, were willing to donate billions of $ to help alleviate the pain and suffering of others in their neighborhood. Can't have that now, can we.

That could be true. However, the leaches are excellent bass bait, and they are also used to reduce swelling in very sensitive surgery because they have the ability to drew blood by osmosis through skin without penetrating it. I have not yet found a good use for a tick, but I am looking . I know Guineas like to eat 'em.
As for "productive" , everything has to have a certain amount of "inert material" or "filler". It serves a function simply by its existence, even if it is not readily apparent. The amount of material in a tablet form of medication is often more than 90% inert material, because the actual active ingredient is so small that it could not be handled, measured or sold conveniently, or might be absorbed to rapidly. Just because you don't know the function of something is not obviously apparent is not proof that it does not have one. ;)

With all due respect your anolagy makes about as much sense as a football bat.
Consider this , Its better to teach a person to fish than give him a fish. Then he can take care of himself and enjoy the feeling of self worth. And toward you way of thinking he would support the fishing industry, the corn meal and flour industry , boat builders etc.  :o

lot of truth here.  one of my doctors told me that he used to write off part of the medicare co-pay for some patients.  now he can't, unless he wants to pay a huge fine.  obama is telling doctors they can't be humanitarians.

Why Obamacare is good for America
That is the title of this thread.  Let's see...more than half the states are going to the high court to get rid of it, the others are signing waivers to get rid of it,  the legislation was passed by congress using our tax money as bribes openly on national TV...and many who voted yes agree it was lousy legislation, but they didn't read it.  The rest now say it must be rewritten.  And we can't afford it either way.

So what's the title of this thread again?
