What a difference a couple of years make!!!

I made this post in March of 2009. Looks like things have gone down hill from there.« on: March 03, 2009, 03:19:58 PM »Gas here is SW Pa has been like a yo yo lately. Back a few months ago it was all the way down to $1.65 a gallon. Then about a month ago it started creeping back up. I guess because OPEC cut back on production. It is now $1.95 a gallon. Yesterday it was $1.97 and a couple weeks ago it was up to $1.99. I guess I am ok with the current prices. I can live with this but when it starts to hit $3.00 and $4.00 a gallon thats just crazy. Today Dale it was $3.59 at the local COSTCO here in Winchester VA.
Kind of like a Sams Club that also sell gas.
Other stations had it as high as $3.71.

I kind of think the point I'm trying to make is just 34 months ago gas was running at the 2 dollar mark or a little below. I sure wish those days would come back. Dale

   Haven't checked the price since Tuesday. $3.89.9 then. Word is it went up yesterday. Not sure how much. I have to go to the store this morning. I'll check it out then. This part of Western NY seems to have the highest gas prices.

No worries, Obwana assures us that clean energy--whatever that is--will save the day.  Of course that day might not come for a few decades--if ever.
 
I clearly remember when Carter was president and sadly told us that all the oil would be gone by 1975.  Carter was about 17 times smarter than Obwana and he wasn't near the liar, but they both have some of the same stupid notions about energy and the environment.

During the debate the other night one of the hopefuls commented that gas had reached $6 a gallon in Florida. The talk was of how if elected they'd drop the price to $2.50 a gallon. I think it was obama's white twin oromney who made that comment.

Presidents DO NOT determine the price of oil or gas. Futures speculators do mostly. I believe it was oromney who promised he'd repeal obamacare on day one. Last I checked Congress makes laws and passed that one so only Congress or the Supremes can over turn it.
