Are fancy finishes on a BCG worth the extra $$$

I was considering a Nickle-Boron coated bolt carrier group for my 300 Whisper.  Of course the sales pitch for the finish says that it has less friction, longer wearing properties, etc, etc.
Do any of you have experience with this? Is this just lipstick and rouge?

I Love the NiB stuff... It will take ya next to no time to clean and also looks really nice. And yes they are designed to run with little to no lube on them.... Here is a link that has great price on a NiB bolt and carrier for $149.95
