tuff stuff
« on: February 27, 2012, 06:09:08 AM »
Was watching the "swamp logger" who carries a 44 mag in the louisiana swamp. He shot a gator broad side with it and the damn thing swam away. I did not realize how tough these critters are. Seems odd when they harvest them all it takes is a well placed 22 round in the head.

They go strictly for a brain or spine shot. The reason that snipers go for the c1 vertibra if possible. All body motion stops. Go to youtube and find the video on killing and dressing rabbits. He has a jig built to break the rabbits neck easily. The bunnies don't even quiver. Strange looking. ear

reptiles dont seem to react to trauma the same as mammals.and who knows how far the gator swam and if he was hit well. if he swam 20 yards and sank he would be lost, unlike a deer that ran 20 yards and went down.
