As far as burning out the barrel, I doubt it. This will be carried a lot and shot rarely. It will also kill things with heavier bullets (one reason I want the 6mmAI vs the 243.) I, as all of us I'm sure, would like a 6.5 BJAI for this purpose, but this will still be a fantastic gun.
Norma brass is fantastic, but spendy. It is nice to have options for brass, unless of course the rim configuration between 444 and 7x57 rimmed ! That would make me decide, and I hate that.
Last but not least, I have a close relative who has recently finished school as a CNC machinist. He also finished QA and a few other things. He works down the road and has made reamers, guages and dies that are accurate to +/- .0001 or something smaller than I can imagine. He says he can get me into a new caliber for 30 bucks of material. No, he won't do work for other people.
