Seems like I used to use the 4831s and 100 grain bullets.  Been a long time.

H4831SC has been my choice for many years....since Hodgdon came out with the "SC" 4831.

H414
In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....

I always liked H-414 but if you are hunting in a cold weather spot H-4350 SC is the one-Muddy

My 243 spends most of the winter in my feed truck, going from -20 or more to however warm the heater can get the cab during the day while feeding cows. It has yet failed to be fully capable of whackin coyotes at 300 yds. :D

Your Powder choice is what then?

Mine is H4350 and then IMR4831.

Ranch13,   Sorry about that should have noticed your other post.  Have never used H414. I was curious about the sub zero temps and the powder you use.  We don't have -20 very often where I live.

I really like W760 in the 243, but I prefer better case fill than it gives under the 100s.

I did get really excellent results with H-1000 under 100 grain Speer BTSPs, and Win Supreme 780 was showing great promise when I sold my 243.

I think I've tried all but the 2 Win powders above. H4831 is my go to. My BIL won't use anything but H414.

I will strongly recomend Varget......At 100 yrds i can get a 3-5 shot group under an inch.... with my Ruger 77 .243 Win... go with Varget it also is a good powder for alot of other loads as well like .223 (well under an inch)......
