Anyone care to remind me what it was Governor Romney said about assault weapons? Or perhaps give a good sweeping example of how Romney Care differs from Obamacare? Oh and I'd still like to know his stance on ther U.N. and Americas involvement with it!

Anyone.....................?

   It bothers me more what Obama, Hillary, Reid and Pelosi have in mind for we gun owners, should conservative voters be so lethargic in their duties as to allow the Chicago mob back in control;

I'ts beginning to look like we have a batch of "closet liberals" here..who are trying to convince us to NOT vote at all..thereby letting Obama waltz right back in.

...And I haven't seen anything which refutes this theory. ;)   ;D

Could you please quote the post from any one of us where we tried to convince anyone to NOT vote at all? Until then you're blowing some serious smoke.

I plan on voting, just not for either one of the Socialist gun grabbers.

What a strange world we live in when so called conservatives are willing to sell out and vote for a former governor of an extremely liberal state who signed a Socialist healthcare bill into law and also signed multiple gun control measures into law. Then these same so called conservatives call anyone not willing to sell out and vote for a Socialist gun grabber a "closet liberal". I guess the GOP truly is dead.

I plan on voting, just not for either one of the Socialist gun grabbers.oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I didn't accuse anyone specifically of refusing to vote..but either your lines above are contradictory..neither of those "socialist gun grabbers" are in the Republican field at present..because it is highly likely that one socialist gun grabber (BHO) will be running..if you refuse to vote for the your other "socialist gun grabber'. it appears you won't be voting..

'What a strange world we live in when so called conservatives are willing to sell out and vote (by default) for a former"..community activist from doubtful roots who is doing his best to break the country...this of course, after 'hoping and changing' it to a parasitic Euro-style socialist state.

Actually, the adamant action of somem refusing to participate if they are not coddled, bother me less than the wholesale trashing of decent people simply because of political rivalry.

Now, let's just pause and think..outside of the admitted Obamanites, from which candidate's backers does most of the trashing emanate ?  ...No need to answer..just ruminate upon that question..

No, you just accused all of us non Romney voters AKA "closet liberals" of trying to convince you not to vote. I could care less if you vote for Romney the Socialist gun grabber, it's your right to do so. Just don't blame me if Obama gets re-elected because I refuse to vote for a socialist gun grabber from either party. Your own words below:

And that's better than this PUBLIC STANCE quoted RIGHT AFTER signing an AWB into law

Quote

It's really depressing to see so many people, by default, supporting obama.
last night I read the NRA presidents letter in my magazine and he said two important things.
that obama may get to appoint as many as three SCOTUS judges and that EVERY vote counts.

RELAX! All the juistices most likely to go are ones who were in the dissenting opinion on Heller. All very activists judges whose replacement by an Obama appointment will just maintain the status quo.

I was talking to dad yesterday about a local primary he's running in as an incumbent and he told me an absolutely stunning revelation that absolutely explains the generally piss poor quality of Republican candidates and why the Republican party can't place themselves politically where they need to be.

THE PARTY WILL NOT BACK OR SUPPORT  A CANIDATE IN A PRIMARY!

That's right the Republican party has no say so whatsoever as to who they end up working with NONE! No wonder they're quickly becoming a third party in our two party system.

Whatever, if you trust the BS coming from the man who said this then all the power to ya:

"Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts. These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people"

Statements like that should automatically disqualify a candidate from the mind of a conservative voter. That fact that you and others here are trying to persuade me to vote for a candidate with these beliefs is truly frightening. Never mind that he set the template for Obamacare.

I see what you mean!!! Statements like that usually tend to come from the liberal mindset trying to scare people enough to achieve their ends.....paticularly knowing that he was actually referring to guns like the AR 15s.....but throwing the "drug scare" into it...well that was over the top....too liberal a tactic. :o

Not a liberal tactic at all...  We have a major candidate who is all for opening the 2nd  amendment to include virtually all hand held guns (good).  Ironically the same candidate wants all drugs now illegal to be made completely legal to use.

Ok, can you PROVE to me that legalizing drugs is going to be a disaster? I personally have no opinion on the subject because it's never been tried.

On the other hand.....it IS a liberal scare tactic......frighten people, using the spector of their "greatest fear" along with their "freedoms being abrogated" with no concrete proof that it really should be something to fear.

Way to dodge the issue by changing the subject when you have no argument, oh and by the way your federal definition of "assault" and "full auto" are not one and the same when it comes to the federal or Mass definition.

If anyone feels like reading here is the Mass definition of assault weapons, thanks to former governor Romney. Hopefully someday "closet liberals" like myself will learn to vote for a real conservative like Romney:

http://www.malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartI/TitleXX/Chapter140/Section121

Here is the cliff note version:
“Assault weapon”, shall have the same meaning as a semiautomatic assault weapon as defined in the federal Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act, 18 U.S.C. section 921(a)(30) as appearing in such section on September 13, 1994, and shall include, but not be limited to, any of the weapons, or copies or duplicates of the weapons, of any caliber, known as: (i) Avtomat Kalashnikov (AK) (all models); (ii) Action Arms Israeli Military Industries UZI and Galil; (iii) Beretta Ar70 (SC-70); (iv) [/color]Colt AR-15; (v) Fabrique National FN/FAL, FN/LAR and FNC;  (vi) SWD M-10, M-11, M-11/9 and M-12; (vi) Steyr AUG; (vii) INTRATEC TEC-9, TEC-DC9 and TEC-22; and (viii) revolving cylinder shotguns, such as, or similar to, the Street Sweeper and Striker 12;

the drug war probably doesn't cost any more than programs like this which would come to a neighborhood near you if we legalize drugs.

our state legislature just outlawed synthetic marijuana.  why you asked?????
because a couple just south of me came home and found their son dead with his pipe and SM
beside him. (SM was legal at the time)
why would anyone of good conscience want to release this monster on our kids who might otherwise not try it if it's illegal.

I figured you'd bring up booze.  booze IS a mind altering drug. it's as bad as cocaine or any other illegal drug and probably kills more people than "illegal" drugs.
poor parenting?? the kid here that died from SM was a great student, active athlete, and all-round good kid and son.  no illegal drugs were found in his room and nobody could remember him using any other drug.  but since SM was legal and convenient, he tried it and died.
the folks advocating legalized drugs are like a certain candidate who is buying young peoples votes with the thought of easy to obtain drugs.

Actually I'm not advocating it but I figured you would try to accuse me of it.

Still your straw man falls short......good kid....(It's always the "good kid") using drugs, gets in trouble or dies.........it's the things fault...never the "good kid".

Good kid....uses a gun...someone dies....maybe the kid himself.......it's the guns fault.........never the "good kid".........Absolutely solid socialistdemolib argument....blame the thing, not the person.      "make guns legal to carry and there will be wild west gunfights and bloodshed in Americas streets.......the slaughter will never end" Recognize that one?

a  teenagers brain is not yet fully developed. they think they're indestructable. too many young kids die from illegal drugs.  how much crime is tied directly to the NEED for more drugs?
yes, lets buy the young peoples vote with the promise of easy access to drugs ::)
guns??  would you like for teenage thugs to have easy access to guns?
in my wifes school is a fifth grader that has threatened several kids and teachers, he doesn't need a gun OR drugs.
lets release this to our kids.

Cocaine, mnarijuana, booze, synthetic marijuana, crack, ...all that crap is just a crutch for weaklings.  Anyone with strong character traits, eschews all of them.
