whitetail collection
« on: February 28, 2012, 07:15:07 AM »
Does anyone know where to find the value of these. I'm not selling.
I am just curious as I bought 1 in 2006 (new),it's a 700BDL 270win with engraveing on floorplate 1of 150 made and has engraveing on the side of the butt. Believe it or not it is unfired, drives some friends nuts.

if its like the one my buddy has its not worth much more then a regular 700. His has an engraved whitetail floor plate and came from being won at a whitetails banquet. Whitetails bought the guns and commisioned the engraving and i beleive its machine cut engraving. They didnt get engraved by remington. theres not much collectors interest in guns like whitetails, ducks unlimited ect.

Thanks lloyd,so if someone buys one it's mainly an eyecatcher that sells it.

I worked RMEF banquets , Attended DU and what in the world along with Va DEER asso. The guns are nothing speical in most cases IMHO. Some I have seen would not work well shotguns that had trouble feeding same with 22's Some ventured to say they might be seconds donated for free I don't know if that is fact or not. They are ment to look good and inspire high biding .

Danny, they had one listed on march1 the day I suggested you check there. I believe the buy now price was $799. Don't know if it sold or the listing was pulled. But it's gone now.
