Here's an example ....
« on: February 29, 2012, 07:43:10 AM »
Here is an example of today's multicultural, all-inclusive, super sensitive, kind hearted Liberals:

       http://www.huffingtonpost.com/larry-doyle/the-jesuseating-cult-of-r_b_1296358.html

...  I am not a Roman Catholic, but this garbage doesn't belong in any decent publication.  It does assist in one way however; it tends to erase the disagreements Christians have had with each other in the past.  Here in stark relief is a clear reason why those who profess Christ had better stick together and seek justice in a unified way.
Yes; they have first amendment protection but they don't seem to realize that such bigoted articles damage their cause (whatever it may be) far more than it helps.
All believers should realize by now we are being beseiged and there is an obvious effort to "divide and conquer" Christians in general.
...A word..to the wise, should be sufficient..

I agree.  I can't quote chapter and verse, but the NT says teachers will be judged more harshly than your run-of-the-mill Christian.  so, we do need to ease up on people and come together.
the disciples came whining to Jesus about people preaching in his name and they weren't one of "us"
Jesus said, if they are not against us, they are for us.
Christians need to stand together, or soon we'll be asked to choose between Jesus and mohammed.
since none of us are perfect, we need to stop throwing stones.
rant over.

Since this appears in the "COMEDY" section I'm assuming the author  meant it to be satiric not satanic.

you got it all wrong, Crusty - that's clearly a scholarly article, either by a Jesuit or maybe a Sunni Jihadist. Ironglow is right to be very, very upset.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

It sure is a common pattern nowdays, so often when a liberal is caught being a bigot..suddenly it is only "comedy" or "satire".
Still; they don't conside it comedy or satire when it is "their ox being gored".  Look what happened to Don Imus when he joked about some female basketball players..Shucks, they don't even like it when jokes are made concerning those who would like to blow us all to smitherines !

I think we have a new record of somebody interjecting Muslims into a non-muslim post.  2nd post!!!!   ::)
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."

i find the authors final line very odd!

Need I remind you that only once in our great history has a Roman Catholic been elected president, and how tragically it ended?

The only Catholic president this nation ever had was probably the best the liberals have ever fielded! However......if he were with us today, preaching the same doctrine he did back then, the socialistdemolibs running the party today would crucify him!

If the religion police on this board defended all religions as vehemently as they do islam they would be consistent. But they don't so they are only hypocrites.

My god, I almost choked to death when I read this Bugeye.  I....OMG.....Im going to say it.......whole heartily agree with you on this.  That has always been my biggest issue with christianity.  It's not what was written in the book that bugs me.  The book has some outstanding points and gives a very good way to live your life.  It also gives hope of an afterlife which I think would be outstanding.  My issues with it are the many different christians followings and it seems most of them damn each other- all while they worship basically the same thing.  To me, that by its self, seems to wear on the authenticity of god, christainity, and faith to those that are trying to understand it more like myself.  This isnt a god ripping post so dont start flaming me please.

I really do think that all christians (no matter what specific following you believe in) should unite and share your beliefs, not force feed them to those that inquire about it.  It makes for a much more inviting and neutral atmosphere to gain following.
It's all a hot mess...........

If I must choose between Jesus and the prophedophile, can I cast my stones in self-defense using a trebuchet?  BTW, I choose jesus anyday.
