Author Topic: Moms cancer is back. (Read 1457 times)

Results back from several tests show cancer in lymph nodes and lung progressing again. A mass of cancer around her spine will paralyze her if the radiation does not kill it. She starts it all over again next Mon. Doc told her to eat anything that she wants and don't worry about gaining wt or cholesterol. We have had so much going on here we have not had the gas to get up there but looks like we'll have to anyway. My brother had to drive home from ILL in this storm today but did make it home safely.
Jadyn went 34 days without a transfusion then a massive bleedout a few weeks ago, home again for now.
I've written about Moms next dr neighbor before. Alfred is an old hunting buddy whose health is bad, Sally had part of her colon removed and other cancer last month,she's in stage 3 now. They are like another set of parents to me and my siblings, hate to see them suffer.
Just a few limbs down here but tornados, very high winds and rain all around us today. Rain was blowing sideways and winds that shook the house. Been a very stressful day. Hoping for a good nights rest, Pattys laying down now. POWDERMAN. Sad

I really appreciate all of the prayers guys, we need them. I'm very thankful for the xtra 3 1/2 -4 years that God gave us with her. Doc said she'd never see Christmas, that was 3 1/2 - 4 years ago. She's not suffering rt now and I pray that continues. Hopefully we'll be able to see her before too much longer. POWDERMAN.

Mom was hospitolized yesterday for dehydration. They believe the cancer has now entered her brain and are doing tests this morning to tell us more. Patty and I both have a stomach virus so we won't be going up there til we are free of it. Mom basicly has no immune system now so we won't take the chance of infecting her. I was still awake at 5 am. Prayers appreciated. Charlie.

Thanks for all the prayers said and those to come. Talked to her tonight and she is really weak but in good spirits. One sister spends the night and another there through the day, so she will get everything she needs. POWDERMAN.

I know someone who was only given a few weeks to live. They started taking high doses of powdered vitamins since it was hard for them to swallow solid foods. She got better and her cancer went in remission and she started eating solid food. When she ran out of vitamens for a couple of weeks, her cancer came back. Just a thought if it helps.

DIXIE DUDE. Thanks, she takes a variety of vitamins already. House sitter will be here in the morning, car gassed up and packed. Will head out in the morning. Sisters said they could use a break. We'll take over for a few days and take her to her last 2 rad treatments Mon and Tues. Prayers appreciated. I doubt we'll have time to see Jadyn. POWDERMAN.
