joined the 357 maxi crowd
« on: March 04, 2012, 09:46:54 PM »
Received my new barrel from NY on Saturday and the reamer showed up at the same time! did the re chamber, took all of 10 minutes, cut the barrel to 16.5 inches, squared the muzzle and recessed the crown. brought it to the range today to break the barrel in. 15 y.o. daughter was hitting plastic water bottles at 30 yards with no sights! I think she's in love with this little gun. fun to shoot no recoil and fits her just perfect. Thank you to all the guys on here for blazing this trail for others to follow. :D

You won't be sorry, the 357 Maxi is amazingly accurate in the rechambered barrel.
I have been shooting a 357 maxi in a contender for years, just recently bought a H&R Maxi myself.

Have only sighted in @ 50yds, but shows great promise for longer shots.
Bought a new scope after my first range trip, so will have to resight again.

Congrats on bringing a new shooter into the world and yep might as well get another one.

Welcome aboard, and when you get a maxi for yourself we will show you the secret hand shake. Or your daughter can show you, since she already has a maxi. 8)     ;D

My only regret is I only ordered one barrel. I NEED(want) another.
My remember'er is broke, but my forgetter is getting better.
