Who makes JI brass?
« on: March 07, 2012, 03:39:42 PM »
I bought some loaded 357max ammo from Reeds, and the headstamp says "JI 357 REM MAXIMUM".  I've never seen the JI stamp before.  Anyone know who makes this brass?  Just curious.

Never seen it on something like a 357 Maximum but JI headstamp normally means it's Chinese, Singapore Technologies to be more exact and made in 1998. The J indicates the decade and the I indicates the year. That's what the headstamp would mean for most of the military cartridges but again, I've never seen any Chinese 357 Maximum. Might contact Reeds, wherever/ whoever they are, and ask.

I think it was called Jamision International.
Like Lloyd said, I don't think he makes it any longer.

Reed1911,
I didn't meant to leave you out of this.  The question just popped into my head while I was on GBO and I figured someone here would know.  Pure laziness is the only reason I didn't email you directly.  I want to say that I really appreciate having loaded ammo available for less common cartridges like the 357max.  Thanks for providing this.
