Monday morning GR and I were early at the gun club and settled into our routine. GR had been busy sighting in a scope new to a 22 rifle, and shooting pistols. A new shooter took up position at the bench to GR’s right wing. The new shooter was young enough to be one of GR’s grandkids. He had a new 40 Caliber, but he was not knowledgeable with the range rules, the handgun, or handgun shooting. GR took him under his wing providing friendly instruction which improved the new shooters experience and made the range a safe place.No doubt GR made another friend Monday morning.
