If you had to get rid of one?

If you had to get rid of one which would it be? All barrels are 15" long, a 30.30, 35 rem , 223 and a 7.08.  All of them are used for hunting.

The dirty 30 & the .223 are the cheapest to shoot.Sell the other two,buy a .22 and you have all bases covered, economically.My three contender bbls. are .22,.223,.44mag.Just my.02

Guess it depends on why you want to get rid of it.....I agree the .30-30 and .223 are probably the cheapest to shoot....however the .35 and the .7-08 , are the better and more effecient rounds, at least in my opinion. ( assuming you handload , if not my opinion may vary )  I also agree , a .22 rimfire of some sort would be a nice addition.  To answer your question..I'd get rid of the .30-30 and buy a .22 rimfire , 12" would be my choice.  A 2-6 Trophy on it , a dandy squirrel outfit.

Another for loosing the 30-30 if you feel you need to sell one.   The 7 an 35 cover the bases for most big game, the 223 for medium game down.   Use the sale of the 30 to get a 17 or 22 rimfire, or 17/22 mag rimfire, which depending on what you hunt, and how far your shots will be.   There are lots of critters I wouldn't shoot with a 223, especially not if for table fare or for fur.

I use them for hunting and paper punching. I dont reload yet but I had a crash coarse in it today,looks like fun.

The 30-30 the 35 Rem and the 7-08 are the three that over lap.
Basically all three can be used for the same game.
If you have to sell one pick the one with the most expensive ammo.

I'd say get rid of all of 'em.  A 15" handgun is just silly.  They certainly are no easier to carry or use than a carbine or rifle of the same caliber.  The challenge of handgun hunting goes out the window with such devices.

Mike, I have to agree with you……………no, I don’t!  ::) ::) ::) Last count I think I was up to 29 different barrels, with the exception of a 9MM, 5MM and .225 all are well used and  have been fun to play with.  I do (have) used them for hunting and find the thrill of a single shot much more pleasing than a rifle or carbine.  With the option of changing caliber at will and with so many choices I’ll stick with my old G-2 Contender.

Me too!  Come to think of it I never got rid of a gun!  Like dogs, guns seem to have a permanent home once they find me.

The 3030 won't do on the light end what the 7X30 will nor will it do on the heavy end what the 35 will do. Now if you were to keep only one the 3030 would be the keeper as it will do some of both . Funny how things work
