Tollerance at ground zero
« on: March 10, 2012, 01:53:02 AM »
This sounds like a good idea to me   I am truly perplexed that so many people are against a mosque being built at Ground Zero. I think it should be the goal of every American to be tolerant. Thus the Mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance.
That is why I also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque, thereby promoting tolerance from within the mosque. We could call one of the clubs, "The Turban Cowboy", which would be gay, and the other a topless bar called "You Mecca Me Hot."
Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork, and adjacent to that an open-pit barbecue pork restaurant, called " Iraq o' Ribs."
Across the street there could be a lingerie store called "Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret," with sexy mannequins with short burkas in the window modeling the goods.
Next door to the lingerie shop, a liquor store called "More hammered."
All of this would encourage the Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of us, so the mosque problem would be solved.

I like the idea alot!!!

Ever notice how if you say no to certain groups you are a racist or intolerant. However they can exclude you from everything becuase you just won't understand. So I say no problem with the mosque, how would you like them ribs cooked.

Hmmm, several new businesses in the area.  Greater availability of goods and services to those that live near by.  Greater tax revenues from the improvements to be built.  Greater chance to impress the intolerant with the display of tolerance.  NOW, what good purpose do YOU think would be accomplished with the building of the mosque?

The thread is about a 'ground zero mosque' - but there ain't no such thing. There is an Islamic cultural center a couple blocks away, if I understand correctly. Why do the ideologues & haters keep calling it a 'ground zero mosque'? Whassup wit dat? Is there a limit on where Muslims can own property in NYC, without calling it ground zero? Is Manhattan off limits?

Here's a good purpose in that mosque being there: one of the things is shows is that not all Americans has fallen victim to xenophobic hysteria. That's good news, right?

The things I see these days,
big money buys what it wants.
liberals have a huge double standard- if you need an example look at Bill Maher v. Rush Limbaugh (even though Maher actually stood up for Rush)

building an "Islamic cultural center" close to where the WTC stood is tacky at best but if you disagree you are a xenephobic, racist, warmongering, son of %^$#@

And a question- Am I the only one that read that Al-Queada and its supporters want the Islamic empire to be what it once was prior to the crusades. Not to promote understanding or cultural exchange but retaking by force of arms if that is required.

I read the OP and found it humorous. I believe the intent was to show how everyone is expected to bow before Islam and how the country is at war but still being influenced by our enemies. Not to mention the OP added a brief note of humor. Did we forget humor?

It is every muslem's duty to expand islam every way possible. The queran tells them to use force of arms to spread islam. If they get in complete control of a country they will give you a choice become a muslem or die.
