Burris 3X12 Handgun Scope

Anyone have experience or trouble with Burris 3x12 handgun scopes?  I picked one up from SWFA Sample Line and put it on my .223 Remington Super 14, only to find groups are larger than I was getting with the TC 2.5X7 from the same barrel and ammo..  There is no sign of loose base or rings.

I will be calling SWFA & Burris tomorrow.

Any comments will be most appreciated.
