69 Cal. Mini Mortar

 Just made this desk top mortar, wood is birch stain with magic maple stain used for curly maple, Barrel is 1018, 3 1/2 in . long and 1 3/4 in . rd.  bored .010 under for a 69 cal. mini bullet , 1/2 in tunnion hole drilled cross ways  and steel dowel pin press fitted. May blue next and add more trimming, I free handed it when I turned the barrel, What style may it be,Thanks

smokemjoe, That is a Beautiful piece. I LOVE freehanding barrels! Keep it up.

 :) ...That looks pretty good, smokemjoe! Question, is that the powder you use in this piece, or is it just for size comparison? That's good work!

  Its just to comparison but good idea alos, They made the can  upside down as you see.
