« on: March 14, 2012, 09:34:40 AM »
Just saw on the news that some nut-ball stabbed 4 people in a downtown Columbus office building , at least he didn't use a gun , now for round 2 , the other nut-balls will want us all to Resister out butter knives .

Al least the cops were able to get this one !

Yep, that is what has happened in England.  Crooks now use knives and clubs to rob people.  England has also outlawed pointed kitchen knives.  If you have to pierce something, they say use a fork.  Nanny state.

stimpy, years back, we had a guy go into 7-11's with a crossbow, here in Toledo, and rob them. They actually had several councilman propose a bill to outlaw crossbows in Toledo.  I got a feeling that all the nut-balls arn't just confined to Ohio. gypsyman

Hey!  I resemble that remark! ;D

I'm in Ohio as well, and the wife and I play a little game when we watch cop shows and the like - the game is called "spot the Ohio connection".  It seems every single cop show or worlds dumbest episode or whatever has at least one scene in Ohio or one Ohioan doing something bad/wrong/stupid.

My only comfort is that I'm a transplant, not a native.

To be honest people now days seem to be crazy all over. I have lived around Pittsburgh most of my life and can recall many many people that just went nuts killing people for no good reason. Dale

It seems like Ohio is a nut farm. I think that is because lunatic incidents are unusual. If you want to read about depravity, check out the metro section of the L A Times.

Memory being what it is these days..............not good however I do seem to recall that crossbows were considered an illegal weapon all over the USA at one time similar to a switchblade.

Ohio has its share, maybe more. It's a rust belt state where a lot of jobs have gone away and will never come back. Most of the smart people left, and that leaves the rest living in declining cities. Kinda like most of Michigan. It's not unusual in Ohio today to find beautiful college campuses surrounded by dumpy run down cities. The colleges are still attracting people, but the cities aren't.
