I only own 2 movies, Saving Private Ryan and The Band of Brother Boxed Set.  I watch each one about 2-3 times a year.  I like to find a day that the wife and kids are gone so I can crank up the surround sound nice and loud.  The Omaha Beach scene in SPR is awesome in surround sound

Hey guys, favourite war movies, there are a few that stick out. and some that are very close together.

1. Band of brothers (Bone chillin is the realism, makes me appreciate)
2. Black Hawk Down (I love it, very close to the book by Bowden)
3. Saving Private Ryan. (same as BoB)

Just my 2c worth.

I am a History Fanatic so I find myself checking
for accuracy in movies. Most of them are not very accurate.
My Choice would either have to be
Patton or The Longest Day

I just saw "Platoon" last night again on Spike TV.  I think Charlie Sheen did an excellent job in that.  I believe my all-time favorite was "Apocalypse Now" with Martin Sheen starring.
