mom is getting coached ?
when something like this happens in Atlanta, or if a cop does something to a black,  even though the mom don't have a pot to pee in, she'll be surrounded with lawyers.
they converge on the scene like vultures on a gut pile.

mom is getting coached ?
Ever think that mom and dad are in shock. I know I would be. Let's not be too judgemental over what these grief stricken parents are saying.
They are in a bad situation where they didn't play the race card but its getting played for them. They no doubt are in a tuff spot. But that dosen't hide the fact they are getting coached , If I were them I would look for help . I didn't say good or bad coach , you must assume they got negative coaching .
If I had said something that was judgemental you might have a case I did not ! As for shock you assume that . Nither you or I know about his record or if the parents considered  he was a good or bad kid or expected the worst or was shocked.
Sorry if you took it as a negative statement. It wasn't meant to be. It was just a reminder for all of us.

I'm of the mind to let the courts decide.
But if this article holds up I may change my opinion.  ::)

I'm guessing her coaches (probably "Rev" Al ,  J. Jackson, and the like)  are better at coaching her on greed than grief.

The family has a lawyer ( are they charged with something ? BTW a very well spoken lawyer) so she would be the coach IMHO. I don't know FL law but last night in a good interview by Bill O with the lawyer some info came out . The most problematic is the boy broke away from the shooter and the shooter followed him. In Va the shooter would get charged and most likely convicted of first degree man slauter. I heard in one report the police told the shooter to not approch the kid in the first place. In reality if the kid did attack the shooter it might be proven the shooter esculated the argument into a fight by following the kid. So prudent person put himself in a situation where he may be forced to defend himself after police had instructed him not to and after the threat had tried to leave ?
This is a real can of worms .

You hit the nail on the head . From what has been passed out it would seem a fight that was in part both of therir fault took place , but that may or may not be fact. Lets hope the race card stays out and justice is served .

Imagine if you shot a kid in your state....that would be the beginning of your problems legally--likely you would be impoverished, too.
That is something. I figure that most of the time when a citizen uses a firearm/deadly force to defend themselves - and esp if the kill someone? - they've just bought the state for an adversary, and will like be screwed. Even if they survive the scrutiny, it'll be hell and they'll be ruined financially, and no one is going to apologize and give them their life back. I generally detest prosecutors. Been there.

That in mind... makes it odd that Zimmerman skated, apparently. perhaps he does have friends in high places. Or perhaps it was obviously self-defense. 3rd option is the 'racist white gun owner and it's gonna be a long hot summer!' which I don't buy... but we'll see as it comes out.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Death row is full of people whose mothers insist that their son is being demonized. Listen to interviews of parents of murderers and they almost always say how kind and loving their dear son is and that he'd never do anything like that.
