30-30 handi

considering purchase of a NEF 30-30 ser. # NG******---think it's circa 1992(quick can correct me if i'm wrong) anyone have experience with this particular era rifle  and caliber and accuracy etc...---
 
looks brand new or not much use
 
as i understand it, those time frames make it eligible for factory barrel fitted only for the original caliber---correct???

Yes, shotgun, 357mag and 44mag barrels too I think. ALL 30-30s shoot good, I've had three, all older barrels. ;)

I have two, both are very accurate.  They were purchased as extra barrels from the classifieds.  For some reason, the 30-30's, 45-70's, .357Mag, and .22 VP barrels, just seem like the most accurate barrels H&R makes.

I too agree with Old School Ranger. My 30 30 and my 45 70are the two most accurate that I own. Hand loading for both of these turns them into good accuracy.
