Johnny and Gerald Stewart ARE pros, and they use their own e-callers. I would say to use the jack rabbit or cotton tail distress. That's always worked the best for me with hand calls. However, you should note that coyotes are starting to den or pair up, and may not respond well to distress sounds. I've read that coyote vocalizations do real well this time of year, either by getting a "mate" fired up or making a male think you are intruding into his territory. I'm not real familiar with this technique though. There are several good predator calling websites out there, but I'm not sure the Admin will allow posting them here. If you want to chat more about calling coyotes, I'd be glad to tell you what I can via email at dtwiebe@yahoo.com. Good luck! Once you get started in the game of predator calling, you'll find that you just can't stop! Kinda like shootin' pigs...
