Just joined, and it looks like a great forum!  Interested in "old-timey" firearms: flintlocks, black powder single shots, and early bolt actions (I'm an odd-ball who really likes old "sporterized" military rifles!).  Now pondering a medieval-style hunting crossbow.  Tried a matchlock; too clumsy...!
