M10---PERFECT CONDITION
« on: March 30, 2012, 12:26:01 AM »
I have no interest in this gun as I don't collect.
I saw in in a local pawn shop yesterday for $600. HAS NOT BEEN FIRED. Pawn man said a call to S&W indicates it to be made in 1960.
If any are interested, give me a PM and I will give you all the info I have.
Blessings

Heh, ain't that the truth!  No, any other time this would be a perfect excuse for a motorcycle road trip to your pawn man just to check it out.  I've had too many irons in the fire for too long!  Thanks for tempting me though. ;D

William, There are several differenct versions of the M10, which one is this?  It seems a little pricy to me, I didn't think my engraved 2 inch would go for that much.

It might be in the money.  Do you watch Auctionarms or Gunbrokers for prices?  I have sen some really (appear to be) great Smiths there over the past few years.  I bought one, a model 57, like new in the box, and picked it really cheap.

People don't normally look at the M10 as a tack driver but I had one that would cut the x ring out of a traget.  The gun was a bull barrel and had been throughly worked over by a former local cop, the trigger was smooth as glass, he had also fitted a Bo-Mar adgustable sight bar to it. I let another cop friend talk me out of it.

Gerald,  (the gunsmith cop) has since passed away but if he were still here I would let him work another one over for me.......this time I would keep it.

William, I might have missed the boat in my estimation of the M10, see this one it’s even higher. ::) ::)

It didn't melt my butter either RB.
Course I like shooters and don't have the funds to be a collector--or the time.
It was a pretty little thing in its condition though.

Heh, I'm afraid I would hurt myself or get in trouble with one of those.  I'm dangerous enough on a muscle-cruiser!
