Isn't the money just wasted by the government? They told us jn minnesota that the lottery would be for wildlife and natural resources, and that the department of natural resources would never have to come beggoing for money again. Guess what happened.

  Same thing happened here too..politicians stole it away into a "general fund" where they could spend it on self-centered crap.

the lottery is basically a voluntary stupid tax on the poor.middle class and above dont really play it much.
however, very few of the poor pay any income tax at all. they soak up a lot of goverment services.if they want to play lottery and voluntarily give money back to to state to keep supporting them,then who are we to argue with them? they apparently have the disposable income to do it with.
i dont have the disposable income to do it with.i am taking care of my family and saving for retirement. and just so you know im probably real close to the poverty level.
