Barrel fit ?
« on: March 31, 2012, 09:46:06 AM »
I know about the faq's but I thought I could ask here to be sure. :-[  My barrel locks up with the well known clunk, and a zero gap, BUT it has very slight side play when I slide the barrel side to side on the pin. You can't see it but you can feel it. What do you recommend ? (My situation seams like if the frame was slightly narrower it would fit perfectly, if that makes sence.)

Loose barrel usually = poor accuracy in a rifle, seems to me .001" movement at the barrel = 4" at 100yds.  :-\

Try using a more force when you close the action, that's what works for mine to take out the little bit of side-to-side wiggle.

loose pivot, dirty latch or bad latch engagement, take your pick.

These are not finely hand made fitting room guns.
Does it shoot OK, that is, to your accuracy expectations? If so, ignore it.
It aint a problem until its a problem.
