My humble apology
« on: January 27, 2004, 07:12:42 AM »
Hello everyone, this is my first post, I am not the most computer savvy so forgive my mistakes. I bought my first Contender in 1978, so when I found this forum I read about many things I had experienced. The subject of free floating the barrel  with washers  lead me to try it on a 14" 222 barrel, although in the back of my mind I thought these guys are full of crap. Well men, I was wrong, the groups did tighten up with most loads, and one 5 shot group@ 100 yds. of 9/16" is the smallest group I have ever shot with a Contender. In closing I want to offer my humble apology to everyone, I will never doubt you gentlemen again, ugh, until next time.    THANKS

You mean it WORKED!

We just posted that so you could be our guinea pig, we never thought it would work!

J/K  :)

Actually I take a lot of things I read on the 'net with a grain of salt as well.  If it sounds feasible I'll try it out for myself.  That's just being prudent IMO.  Too many folks pass info that they heard from "someone" on the net w/o even seeing if it works.

I must say that this site here has to be the best place for TC info that I have found on the net.

BTW - Welcome, from one recent newbie to another!  :D
