CZ P-07 Duty?
« on: March 31, 2012, 03:35:05 PM »
Howdy fella's, I have a question if I may? I was glad to see a section here that had some focus on CZ firearms, as I have been looking at potentially buying a CZ P-07 Duty in 9mm and wanted to get some opinions. I haven't been able to locate a P-07 that I could test out on a range before buying, so some feedback would be nice. I have handled them often though, as I do sell firearms for a living, but where I work does not have a range and thusly I can only look. I am aware of the reports of the feeding issues with the .40S&W in this model and have decided on the 9mm, unless ya'll can sway me.

 What say's you?

I first shot a CZ-75 at the Stuttgart Rod and Gun Club managed by the US Army in 1985.  Back then there was only one model of CZ-75 and it was chambered for the 9mm Luger.  It was a range gun, and we were told that we couldn't bring one back into CONUS.  But we could shoot it for pretty much free ammo (I think I paid $1.50/50 of really decent factory ammo).  It never malfed.  I don't know when it was lubed or serviced or whatever but it was a helluva impressive pistol.

I now own a CZ-75 and if you want to buy and own a P-07 I really believe that you'll never have a malf or choke and these guns are really accurate.

If anything, the P-07 is maybe better than the CZ-75 range guns I shot as a Staff Sergeant back in West Germany all those many years ago.  My current CZ-75 Stainless rides in my glove compartment every day, and I occasionally carry it as an off-duty sidearm instead of my 1911, G22, G34 or G29.

I bet that a P-07 does just that good.  Like trust your life to it good.

I have one in 40 S&W. I have never had any problem with it feeding anything I run through it. I like it, good size and good weight, only draw back is there are not a lot of holsters out there for it.

A friend bought one and I had a chance to shoot it today. My first impression is the trigger pull double action is better than some single action pistols i have fired.  It was chambered in 9mm and had no feeding issues. If I was looking for a new 9mm this would probably be at the top of the list.

I did alot of research on various 9mm's and was about to get a po-7 , it felt great and great reviews.I had a glock 40 and a friend has various glocks so I was looking polymer.I ended up running in to a guy at a gun show selling a pre b 75 so for the price I bought it.Bad news is there went  my stash LOL but the pistol is wonderful. But I think a po-7 would be a great way to go if you want polymer and cz. This is about a 91 vintage gun I believe and from my experience with this gun I would like to have another cz someday. They make a 75 type also with a poly bottom that would probably be nice  but a little bigger than the duty.I would by a duty now before a Glock, but that's just me.
