Swampman,
those are some nice photo's is that a 6 pounder?  Original or repro?  What artillery group are the re-enactors portraying?
Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!

The tube is an 1841 6 pounder made by South Bend.  Our Captain built the limber and the carriage.  We are the Robertson's-Dent's Battery and they were originally out of Pensacola, FL.  The captain of the battery lived in Fendall Hall after the war.

The lady looks as pretty as the name of the city sounds, although I'm probably mispronouncing Eufaula. Thanks for posting the pics.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

You•falla, you go boom! Hey, I was close, but I wasn't pronouncing the y sound (oo•fall•uh). Thanks, Bugflipper.
