My first Mod 29 would get out of time often. Back then, I had to wait until I had a day off, drive 40 miles to the gun shop and wait a couple weeks before I could get it back. Pain in the heinie! I had a Mountain Gun in .44 mag and its trigger got all crazy, but by then, I lived here in Utah and my friend ( a very good smith) lives just across the valley. Now that I have a joint replacement in my shooting hand, I don't own any big revolvers, but I was surprised how delicate the Mod 29 was (still is?) Come to find out, the only way Dirty Harry kept his running was , according to Magnum Force, to shoot .44 special equivalent handloads.
