Juicers??
« on: April 04, 2012, 11:14:08 AM »
So how many of you hit the juice?  I bought a juicer last fall for making tomato juice and V6.  Did 30 quarts.

tomato
celery
jalepeno
onion
bell pepper
carrot

I didn't care for it fresh, but let it sit (canned) for a couple months and it was fantastic.  Must have to have time to blend all those flavors.

An interesting mix, I only make tomato juice, with one of these:

any mixing I do is before I drink the juice, but haven't tried blending juices before canning.
keep em talkin' while I reload

I have an Omega 330HD.  It works great for what I use it for.

At one time I drank a lot of carrot juice with a bit of celery juice mixed in, but then my blood sugar started to creep up, so I cut it out.

1 ounce of wheat grass juice 3 times a day. It tastes like mowed grass but my body overall feels...nourished. One ounce supposedly has the same amount of vitamins that you would receive if you were to eaten a couple pounds of FRESH vegetables and salad.

Within minutes I see the color come back to my skin and I feel just a little more awake throughout the day with no caffein. But you do want to wash it down with plenty of water and don't drink it on an empty stomach OR right AFTER you've eaten. Sounds strange, I know.

Maybe you just need to cut out your carbs or sugar from somewhere else in your diet. I can't see how anything fresh and unprocessed is gonna hurt you if it is balanced with the rest of your diet. Alcohol, and anything that is made with white flour for example is handled by the body in the same manner that it handles pure sugar.
