There is a large predatory bird devouring the people. It has a left wing and a right wing, but still the same bird. Fifty one percent of the people have the power to cage it without vote. However, all who vote for either wing are acknowledging the birds power to exist and it continues to grow and devour.
 
I am a no-party man, however my support will be for the only man up there having the guts to pluck the bird and clip it's wings so that it can no longer devour. That would be Ron Paul.

That's fine he's a good man to waste a vote on.  If I had another vote to waste I'd waste it on Santorum.  I'd never waste one on Ron Paul or wish him elected by any means.  Mitt in November....

Starting to hear more people say they rather have 4 more years of Obama than a chance of 8 years of Mitt. After this election who is next for the Republican socialist Gun grabbing, Bloomberg, Giuliani???
 
I see it this way Mitt is more anti-gun than Obama. What gun control bills have been singed into law in DC the last 4 years? How many has Mitt signed in to law in Massachusetts?? Basied on stats Mitt is more anti-gun. And you want to vote for someone who has signed more gun law bills than Obama.
 
If the 08 election was close with the country 50%-50% split and the Republican coming up on a 50%-50% split of 2012. Looks like Obama is gonna take 4 more years will be a slam dunk.

I have listened to Obama and Holder.  They say the 2nd amendment is not going to get in their way.  They said it may say you can own guins but it says nothing about ammo.
Clearly you will see what kind of an anti gun person he is, so far he has banned 1911's, M1 garands, and M1 carbines from being reimported into the US to be sold under the CMP program.
We will see a ban on some firearms and a grab if he is re ellected.

Let's go over that.
If I vote for Mitt, not saying I want to, saying I will over Obama.  I am voting to toss out the commi who does not believe in the constitution and while Mitt may be a socialist RINO. 
I understand that of the three people in the race one will win, one will come in second and then finally a distant third. 
Clearly the majority of the nation will NOT want Obama, but he will win.
Other than your pride feeling good you voted for who you thought was best, how does another Obama term in Office and an end to our great nation by the Dear Leader Obama and his Communist mandates that will see our great experament in Freedom ended? 
I think the real chioce here is either a Communist that does not believe in the constiturion that will end our Freedom
A socialist that does believe in the rule of law. (assuming Rhomney is the nominee) We can home Santorum is.
Or a Disgruntaled 3rd party person that did not have enough votes to get the nomination, Be it Paul or Newt.

Realistic, I am looking at ANY candidate that can beat Obama.  There a re a lot of issues with Romney that I don’t like, but there are more issues I dilike about the other bum.  At this point I don’t see any chance of anyone other than Romney getting the nomination and wouldn't waste a vote on a third party write in when so much is at stake...

In response to your last post, I believe this is the type of think duk is trying to avoid with this list.  While i've enjoyed debating this topic on here he is right.  The whole "I'm right, your wrong" chest thumping is getting old and out of hand.  Were just going to have to agree to disagree on some issues and then leave it alone.  It will all come out in the wash in Novemeber.

I find Dukkiller's answer to me saying he is willing to vote 3rd party knowing that Obama will stay in office troubleing.  Seeing the asault Obama is making on the 1st amendment with Obama care, how much longer do you think before he goes after the other 9 in the bill of rights? 
Will some one please expalin how a vote for a third party, knowing history of the 3rd party votes does that get a change in the buss headed off the cliff senario?

I have answered that question already, but I'm sure it was lost in the mind-numbing cacophony of regurgitated talking points that ultimately forced me to confine this "discussion" to one thread.  If we're on the subject of things that trouble us, I'm troubled by the number of times so many "Conservatives" on both sides of this debate feel the need to repeat themselves and bully each other.  I created the list of topics at the top of this thread with the idea that perhaps the discussion could move to less beaten horses... Sadly, I'm coming to believe that many here are incapable of such intellectual progression, and I find that deeply "Troubling".

I find ONE thing troubling, but it has many aspects......that anyone would voluntarily vote for a socialist. Other aspects of this.....we have voted for "the lesser" too many times now and what has it gotten us? It's gotten us where we are now. So wehat's the point in doing it again? Instead, vote for someone who believes in the constitution and freedom. If we fail, we fail, but we go down as men with principles, instead of men willing to sell their souls to satan in the false hope that he will make any difference.

I believe America is like a big ship headed to run aground on the LEFT side of a channel.  Do you want it to hit hard (Obama) and do irreprable damage?  Or do you want someone to slow it down so that it is either a bump or can actually turn (Anyone but Obama)?  If it runs hard aground it leaves a lot of damage to the ship, maybe even sinks it.  If it hits softer, it is salvagable and maybe can be tugged back out in the channel of life to continue on.
