Looking at hostory, a third party has only gone to ellect a Democrat from the bull moose party to Perot.  The 3rd party sucks votes away an allows the the liberal to win.
Ron Paul has not said he will run as a third party, and yet you all are willing to vote for him in a 3rd party or obstain from voting.  You know if Paul cna not claim the nomination of the party he can not win the general ellection.
You claim to be conservitive and to believe in the constitution.  You say you have a moral compass.  And yet knowing that votes for a 3rd party or not voting will reflect in Obama being re ellected who is the ANTI Paul.  How can you not vote against OBAMA?And yet you are willing to throw a vote for a 3rd party and allow Obama, the opposite of everything you stand for to win?  Knowing your vote or lack of it has helped him to degrade the constitution more and more every day.

I belong to another progun org that has a moral compass. The NRA has stabbed gun owners in the back too many times....if you equate that with being an Obbummer support, it makes me believe that YOU are in reality an Obbummer supporter in drag.

Obama's record on gun control is just as atrocious as Romney's. The both have a frightening record on gun control and a complete disregard for the 2nd Amendment. They also have a frightening record when it comes to Socialist healthcare and a frightening record when it comes to killing babies. Have fun voting for Romney, I cannot in good faith vote for either one of them. A vote for Romney or Obama is a vote against my own personal beliefs. In the end, one of them will win. Either way we all lose.

One difference between Romneycare and Obamacare was that Romney actually tried to reduce costs, while Obummer is all about killing the healthcare system and bringing us all into a one-payer system run by his regime.    There are people who choose to ignore this fact.  that is a big difference.

As for abortion, the Bible says "thou shalt not kill".  I have not seen either of them personally killing any babies.

On the Second Amendment, Romney is making an effort to save the 2nd Amendment by reaching out to gun owners.   Obama could not care less.

Now, let us address ideology.   Obama has killed companies, despite infusions of taxpayer cash.   He kills them with tax increases, unionization rules, and Obamacare rulings.   One company he killed through Obamacare was Assurance Health, a small insurance company that wrote family and individual policies for persons who could not afford policies through the major companies such as BCBS and Aetna.    All other insurance companies have stopped writing individual policies, as well.  That forces them into Obamacare.    Obama is about POWER! Nothing more.     

Conversely, Romney has a net result of job creation and success.  His company of Bain Capital saved The Sports Authority and started the company Staples, which created tens of thousands of jobs.    Romney wants to make this company economically viable again.

This election is about jobs, and the economy.   We are not stupid.    It boils down to one simple question: do you want to live in the greatest nation on Earth, or a second-rate welfare state ruled by a Muslim?  Those are our choices.

Romney is merely doing what he always does on any given issue. Including abortion. He's taking the stance that will get him elected at the time. The only principal he has that he's not flip flopped on is the principal of "whatever it takes to get elected"

I can't stand politicians in the executive branch that have no core principals. At least with Obama you know where he stands, with Romney its dependent on the polling data for that week.

Its going to be a bloodbath for Romney. Most of the states that nominated him are states whose firmly staying blue come November.

I predict he'll carry virtually none of the south or the northeast and that fewer than 20% of women will vote for him.

Surprisingly, that is not what the opinion polls are saying.  About 45% of women say they will vote for Romney in one poll.  50% of college grads can't find jobs, think they will vote Obama again.  He may win, but it will be close, because of a lot of dead people and illegals voting.

I am a Santorum man, and I voted my principles in the primary.  You can whine about Romney all you want, but I do know where Obama will take this country.  If I do nothing, THEN I will have sacrificed my principles, and NOT BEFORE.   Remember the saying, "All that is required for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing."   

You talk about lost causes -- the return of a Southern Confederacy is a lost cause; a post-Obama America in a state of economic devastation from the insane spending and the ever-present army of welfare parasites  is a lost cause.   I am no alarmist, but I do understand what happened the last time a man from Illinois occupied the White House -- war between the states and Yankee invasion of our sacred Southern homeland.    I have no doubt Obama entertains that remote possibility -- why do think he issues these executive orders consigning power to the White House.

In closing, good men doing nothing will guarantee the triumph of evil manifested in Barack Hussein Obama.    Those who refuse to stand fast between the darkness of liberalism and the light of truth and freedom have no claim to speech when the police state begins.

Well reguardless if I voted for Romney or not he still doesn't have a snowballs chance of beating Obama.  The republicants have essentially set up the same election as they had in 2008 only without a charismatic face that Sarah Palin brought to the table.  So now your going to have another old, semi liberal and socialist "Republican" running against Obama but who's running mate brings nothing to the table that Palin did... And you seriously think that Romney stands a chance EVEN IF ALL the Ron Paul supporters supported him.  You guys convinced a metric crap-ton of 3rd party supporters to vote for McCain last election and he was rolled and smoked before 9:00 on election night.

Singleshotsam, the one factor that you left out of your equation is that obama was an unknown last time around.  That is not the case this time.  Many of his own supporters from last time do not now like him.  I guess those of us without a crystal ball will just have to wait and see.
