I've read that several churches have certain folks assigned to carry in Church. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

Yes, many larger churches have organized in-house security teams.

I think the people in the choir should be trained if there is a choir loft in the church. This way they will have the high ground and a better view of what is going on.

I'm surprised that "soft targets" have not been hit by terrorists.  Places of worship, schools etc....

Like the Beslan attack in Russia, close to 400 killed ... no bombs involved, gruesome. Churches are softer still and folks know it; money, children, associated with pacifism, frankly naive.

We have some carrying in church, if the anti-Christian hate mongering, encouraged by the Obamanites and other non-Christians & atheists keeps growing, there will be many more.

Speaking of soft targets..our lawmakers in their incomparable wisdom, have seen to it that schools and colleges are soft as marshmallows.  That is apparently why many people bent on indiscriminate slaughter, so often hit these soft targets..

Before ccw was  passed here in KY there were several Churches in service armed robberies and several more where the pastor and congregation was robbed as they were leaving the Church. The closest was about 30 Mi, close to Ft Knox. I haven't heard of any for a while. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

I never go to church without a small pistol, a church is wide open place of set times of worship and times on a sign out front, yes this is a very soft target, time set, cash money, children, older people, all unarmed for the taking by a bunch of low life meth heads or a bunch of gang bangers walk in and rob the place, I hope it never happens but at least I have tried and so have about five more members,we all keep this to ourselfs but just in case we are there, something for all you to think about.

A large number of our congregation hunt fish and have a CCDW. I would not exactly call our church a "soft target".  The schools on the other hand a mandated that way.
