Our annualy Grey Beard Ohio shoot is over.
« on: April 08, 2012, 11:55:46 AM »
I think everone had a good time. The thing that struck me most was that everyone that showed up at something most shooters would not have. The H&R`s were popular. We had a muzzler that had been turned in to a cartridge gun and a 20 ga. shotgun that had been turned into a muzzler. I had the smallest centerfire rifle round with my 17 AH. Biker Bean`s had the longest with his 45-120. We had the 500 S&W in both handgund and rifle. Eyeshot was shooting groups for a postal match with his 410 slug gun. Funny how much it resembled a .444, he was even shooting .430 dia. bullets through it. A coulpe of us were even talking about maybe starting a spring and fall shoot. Anyway, thanks to all of those that showed up, and wich more of you could have come.

I total agree , it was a great time  ;D ;D , as for that shoulder breaker of Catfish's , got's to get me one of those for sure  ;)

Saw some mighty fine machine work on some of those Handi's , I can see a 50/70 in my near furture as well as the 45 acp , both were sweet shooting rifles .

Maybe we can get a few more to show up for a fall shoot , and a BIG THANK YOU to catfish and the fine folks at Shelby Deer Hunters for letting us come and play !  :) :) :)

Even though I didn't have anything to bring to shoot it was simply awesome to be there.. I was impressed with the BIG bullets, little bullets, little booms and BIG BOOMS..lolSomeday I guess I'll have to put one of the fancy shootin irons in my collection..but it was still GREAT to be able to now put a face with the names of some on this forum 8)

It was a great time and I really appreciate the folks at Shelby Co. Deer  Hunters letting us shoot.  I'll put my name in the hat for a fall shoot this year.  Since folks seem to like Handis that ain't "store bought" a fall shoot would give me a reason to rent a reamer. ;D
