Santorum bows out.
« on: April 10, 2012, 08:28:12 AM »
Well, the only somewhat conservative that was left, has bowed out. Rick Santorum has called it quits. Health problems with his 3 year old, and probably how far down he was, and he called it quits. Now all we have left is Obama light. If Ron Paul had a chance, even a slight one. Doesn't look good for November.  :'( gypsyman

It seems like conservatives only have two strategic options:

1. Vote for Romney (I preferred Santorum, but you must play the cards in your hand);
2. Work for all GOP candidates for US House and Senate seats; lots of Dummyrats up for reelection this year -- all the GOP must do is hold their current seats and take 6 more to have a definite majority, IIRC.    11 would give a filibuster-proof majority.    But remember to suppot your district US House Reps, as well!!

About time! It's taking me some time to warm up to Romney and will take some more to really like the guy, if possible. But he is a long shot from an Obama light. He is getting some good conservatives behind him, Paul Ryan for example. Ryan would not endorse anyone he didn't truly believe in.  If Romney gets in, Ryan's budget has a chance to get passed and that would be the largest step towards fixing this country in the last 50 years.  He also has committed to killing Obamacare which is essential.

Time for conservatives to get behind Romney and win this thing for the good of the Country.

YEP. I look for record LOW voter turnout from now on. When we were in ILL visiting Mom they had their primary vote. The lowest turnout by county was 18 %, the highest was just 24 %. A lot of folks will now see no reason to vote with Santorum gone. I bet gingrich is jumping for joy. POWDERMAN.  :( :(

Santorum out? That's okay; he a little too close to the Dominionist crowd for me. They think God is on their side when it comes to legislation - battle of darkness and light? - kind of like Muslim Brotherhood. I kind of liked him as a senator as one point, no longer.

I'm hoping for a Ron Paul miracle, but not expecting one... so I guess it's more like, I'd like to see it - ain't gonna happen though, looks like.

At least Romney is a smart, experienced, capable guy. We'll see. Here's hoping Santorum's little girl is okay. My eight year old crashed her bicycle while riding with me this afternoon; she's okay, but it is hard to see your kids hurt.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Yes, I wish the best for Santorum's daughter & Yellowtail I hope all is well with your daughter. I remember all of those spills & bumps my kids experienced & no it isn't fun to see that.

Out of those that remained until today Santorum was my choice. Now, when the AR. primary rolls around I will vote for Paul. After that, I will see what shows up as third Party if viable, havn't seen anything yet. This Roemer thing is a little wierd, seems to be a good guy, but not positioning himself as a logical 3rd third Party Candidate, just kinda there.

We shall see what else occurs.

So what's the difference between Romney and any other democrate?

Not much, they agree on these positions:
1. Socialist healthcare and FORCING people to buy health insurance
2. Complete disregard for the 2nd Amendment
3. Killing babies is OK
4. Raising taxes is OK
5. Government control of every aspect of your life is OK
"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves."

The rich should pay a lower percentage than the poor.

No babies are being killed at least legally.

All hail a BHO 2nd term...

I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."
